Belt bucket elevator has been widely used in the cement industry for its large conveying capacity, balanced and stable operation, large lifting height and good sealing. However belt deflection often appears in use resulting in insufficient filling of the hopper increased return material , low productivity and serious belt clamping, tearing so as to reduce the service life of the belt. The following is my factory for many years to use the belt bucket elevator belt running causes and adjustment methods found the summary of experience, hope to share with you. The cause of the belt deviation of the belt bucket elevator which my factory has used for many years and experience summary of regulation method are below.
First, the worn surface of the head wheel roller results in low concave in the middle of the surface and convex on both sides.
The rubber coating on the middle surface of the roller tube was worn and formed a concave surface due to the long-time operation of the belt bucket elevator as well as the long-time friction between the belt and the middle part of the drum. The belt is about to go off track for the appearing of the concave surface of rolling surface besides the random off-track makes it difficult to adjust the belt.Such belt deviation often appears in the use of belt bucket elevator whereas for the roller tube sealed between the bucket shells as well as the shielding of the belt the deviation is not easy to be regard. Moreover such deviation of the belt is in the position of the head wheel , which hardly be adjusted.
Treatment ：If the belt bucket elevator occurs such deviation, we can remove the worn rubber surface and recoat the rubber whereas it should be noted that the rubber surface had better to be plated into the drum shaped rubber surface making the Intermediate surface of drum 5mm higher than the edge rubber surface. In another word, the diameter of the Intermediate plated surface of drum is greater than the edge diameter by about 10mm. After that, the belt will only run in the center of the drum due to the centripetal force of the running drum, and there will be no deviation.
Secondly, the deviation of the bucket elevator belt due to the arched belt joint: when replacing the belt of the bucket elevator, the joint deflection will also cause the belt deviation of the elevator due to the non-standard operation.Such deviation treatment is troublesome for it requires rejoining. The treatment was more difficult after the joint was potted by glue Therefore, after replacing the new belt, the belt should be adjusted before the joint is potted. If the joint is not straight, it should be dealt with in advance.
Thirdly, The uneven head drum would also cause the deviation of the belt. Such deviation generally appear in the newly installed belt bucket elevator. When dealing with it, we only need to level the head drum. The allowable error is 0.1 mm /m.
