The
belt sway switch is a frequently-used protective device for the coal mine belt conveyor. Because in the long-distance transportation, the conveying belt would often off track, in this situation, the belt switch can play an important role to prevent the deviation, its operation function will directly affect the conveying efficiency of the belt conveyor. However, owing to the long conveying distance, large powder under the coal mine, and the underground humid environment, the working performance of the ordinary belt sway switch was not good, and it would out of order. Moreover, maloperation and twisting occur from time to time, it had already affected the long-term operation, and bring about a great amount of loss to the coal mine production. And the maintenance workload and cost will be increased. Thus, it must choose the reliable components and excellent technology to adjust to the harsh environment of the coal mine underground.
Since the core component of the belt sway switch is the switch, in this way, it’s important to select the material and performance for the switch, in addition to the reliable explosion-proof performance. The switch should be stable and inerrable, and it should be able to adapt to the damp environment underground, it also should be able to meet the demand to maintain the signal to the coal mine belt conveyor system. Our recommend to use the kyex-1 type magnetic proximity sensor as the core component, when the magnetic proximity sensor integrated with the magnetic objects ( usually permanent magnets), which used to the magnetism induction principle, to move the inside switch and available for the contact on or off, in order to control the external circuit. Because of the damp coal mine underground with large granular, the service life of the
belt sway switch will be affected. Thus, it is the key point to choose the belt sway switch with dust proof, waterproof and rust-proof performance. At first, in the design and production of the support, it requires this support should have the mechanical strength and the corrosion resistance ability. In general, the rotation axis should use the nylon material as well, however, it should use the metal to pay more attention to its anti-corrosion and rust prevention, the bearing adopts high performance waterproof. What’s more, the rust protection paint should be sprayed to the belt sway switch surface, also the hard wearing sealing cover should be mounted to the roller outside. All in all, the dust-proof, water-proof, dust-anticorrosion performance should be considered, in the selection of the switch. Only these above questions are well dealt with can the belt sway switch run reliably and safely.
This new type of
belt sway switch is mounted to both sides of the belt conveyor, connected by the screw and the support frame. The amount of its installation is determined according to the actual situation of the site, while its output lead is connected to the busbar of the belt conveyor frame in the parallel mechanism. So no matter which end of the deviation will appear, the signal will be sent to the control console by busbar. Because of the simple structure, small volume, light weight, convenient installation, fast movement and reliable performance features, the belt sway switch can guarantee the belt conveyor long-term operation under the harsh production environment. Also, when there is a deviation occasion, the fault point can be clearly shown on the control console, later the sends an alarm signal indicating the timely maintenance to the operator. It greatly reduces the time to find the trouble and improve the working efficiency.
