B. Choose the appropriate belt speed according to the nature of the material

The choice of belt speed should first take into account the nature of the material. If the material is less abrasive and small particles, such as coal, grain, sand, etc.,this time,the steep incline belt conveyor can choose a high speed (usually 2 to 4m/s) ; whereas for materials that are relatively abrasive large, large particles and afraid of crushing, such as large coal, large ore, coke, etc.,steep incline belt conveyor is suitable for low speeds (1.25 to 2m/s).

C. Choose the appropriate belt speed according to the distance and inclination

For the longer distance belt conveyor can choose higher belt speed; and for the large inclination angle,the belt speed of the Steep incline belt conveyor should be properly reduced. If you need to use the unloading trolley, because the actual inclination of the conveyor belt into the unloading trolley is larger, so the belt speed should not be too high, generally less than 3. 15m/s; when using plough type unloader, because of additional resistance and wear, the belt speed should not exceed 2. 5m/s, when conveying fine materials or small pieces of material, the allowable belt speed is 3.15m/s.

D. Belt speed, belt width and conveying capacity are directly proportional

In actual work, the conveying capacity of sleep incline belt conveyor is proportional to the belt speed and belt width. If the width and thickness of the conveyor belt increases, then the sleep incline belt conveyor is not easy to appear the phenomenon of runaway. And when the belt speed is too high, the conveying tension will be reduced, but at the same time, it will also cause the transmission power, belt and roller wear, and further increase the running noise.
