Corrugated sidewall belt conveyor features simple and compact structure，small floor space, which economizes on equipment investment and land construction costs. In recent years, the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor has gradually developed towards the large lifting height and large conveying capacity. 1. Existing problems of the belt support device
For the design of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor has not now been finalized completely in China , the belt conveyors produced by each factory have similar parts, but they are not exactly the same. The lower roller often adopts the original TD75 flat lower roller belt . The undulant belt skirt is easily inset with the roller, which damages the skirt and the partition ,for which a special supporting belt device was invented. However, after more than 3 years of practical application, users got back to us with the following problems of the device:
(1) complex manufacture due to its many parts
(2) difficult assembly and adjustment
(3) arduous maintenance and replacement
Hereby, the belt support device and duplex belt pulley are redesigned and improved, to develop a new simpler duplex belt support roller to replace the original belt support device and duplex belt pulley.
2. New structural characteristics of the duplex belt roller
The new duplex belt roller is composed of the original TD75 flat lower roller and the supporting wheels.
2.1 Selection of parameters
According to the required conveying capacity and inclination we choose first edge conveyor belt width B, edge height H, effective bandwidth Bf and then, according to the selected edge height H and D = 2 H + D (mm) , calculate the diameter of the supporting wheel D where D is the diameter of the flat roller. The width of the left and right Installed supporting wheels: left and right skirt width + 20 mm.
2.2 Installation and adjustment
The new duplex lower roller is easy to install. All we need to connect the lifting lugs of the original TD75 flat lower roller and then install the new compound lower roller. In the early stage of installation, the duplex lower roller is installed first, and the belt can be directly dropped on the duplex lower roller when lifting the belt, and then it is pulled to the machine head position, which can reduce the wear of the belt. When installing it, the inter space on the left and right sides should be well controlled. If the clearance is not equal, the inter space can be guaranteed by adjusting the angle of the lifting lug.
3 Using effect
Compared with the original flat roller and the original supporting belt device, it has the feature of the simple structure, reliable performance, and easy maintenance. Feedback from users showed that if the new type of duplex lower roller is used, the roller and the belt skirt are basically not worn, which is of great benefit to improving the service life of the belt.
