The structural characteristics of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor is the wavy flanged conveyer belt replacing the common conveyor belt. For its working principle and structure is similar as them of the belt conveyor, the corresponding parts of the belt conveyor can be also employed in the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor, such as the driving device, tension device, interstand , intermediate leg, tailstock , driving drum, bend pulley， rotary rolling, discharge hopper, nonloaded sweeper, protection device and other parts. Besides, its main components consists of the flange belt, pressure belt wheel and pressure belt group and sweeper. 1. The flange belt
The flange belt is composed of three parts: the baseband, flange and separator. The baseband has the same appearance as the common conveyor belt, but it has greater lateral rigidity. The flange is made into a wavy shape in order to make the conveyor belt bypass the conveyor pulleies and concave and convex segments to meet the need of the transfer line. The shape of wave can be of sine wave, square wave and W wave. Moreover, there are separators arranged at a certain distance on the base band between the two flanges. The clapboard includes T type, C type and TC type according to its different sections.
2. sweeper
The non-working surface of the flange belt adopts the same nonloaded sweeper of the common belt conveyor while the working surface is equiped with the vibration sweepers which are composed of powered and unpowered vibrating sweepers. The powered sweeper powered by a motor to drive the rotary rods through pulleies making the rotary rods flap the non-working surface of the flange belt in order to shake off the material adhered to the non-working surface. The flange belt of the unpowered sweeper drives an angular wheel making the flange belt vibrate vertically.
