1.The structure feature of sidewall belt conveyor
The driving device, driving pulley, return pulley, tension device, return idler in the main components of the sidewall belt conveyor are in common use with the general belt conveyor. The mainly differences between the general belt conveyor and sidewall belt conveyor could be categorized as follows. 1. The conveyor belt adopts the corrugated sidewall conveyor belt, and the adoption of other parts of the conveyor is related to this change. 2. As there is a diaphragm plate above the conveyor belt, appropriate measures should be taken during feeding to avoid collision between material and baffle. 3. when the running direction of conveyor had to change, it should install the conveyor belt guide device, setting a pinch roller on the belt curves. 4. The return branch is provided with components similar to the general belt conveyor to limit the swing of the conveyor belt. Generally, the common idler can be directly applied. When the gravity of the belt is large, it is necessary to use the special idler according to the rigidity of the guard edge or baffle. 5. Because the conveyor belt has a diaphragm plate, it must be used to contact the conveyor belt inside the sweeper.

2.The belt of sidewall belt conveyor
Generally, Sidewall conveyor belt consists of base belt, corrugated sidewall and diaphragm plate. The function of base belt is similar as ordinary conveyor belt, it is the traction element and bear tension. It is difficult to support the conveyor belt, the base belt should be have sufficient rigidity. Therefore, a special strengthening layer is added to the core of the base belt, but it should be kept flexibility properly. Sidewall conveyor belt can be divided 4 type according to the combining form of base belt, diaphragm plate, corrugated sidewall. The combining form of corrugated sidewall conveyor belt depends on the inclination angle of sidewall belt conveyor and its layout. The structure difference of these 4 type corrugated sidewall conveyor belt is whether the edge of the base belt on both sides of the empty side, whether to set diaphragm plate.
3.Belt selection of sidewall belt conveyor
When selecting sidewall belt, the following aspects should be considered:
(1)the base belt should have a good tensile strength and transverse stiffness; (2) in order to reduce the transverse deformation of the sidewall belt and increase its shortage of insufficient transverse stiffness, the size of the empty side should be appropriately increased. The fabric reinforcement layer embedded in the sidewall belt to prevent belt breakage and resistant flexibility. (3) Secondary sulfurization makes sidewall belt diaphragm plate firmly bonded with base belt, the adhesion strength shall not be less than 6 N/mm. Special attention should be paid to the secondary sulfurization, local heat produced shrinkage caused by empty side discount; (4) the straightness deviation between the corrugated sidewall and the center line of the base band is at most 5 mm within any 5 m length. To strictly control the width of the empty side; (5) in order to guarantee the quality and service life of the sidewall belt, its gel content should be 45%~50%; corrugated sidewall hardness should be 55~65; The hardness of diaphragm should be 65 ~ 70. (6) in order to prevent material leakage, it is necessary to minimize the clearance between the end of the diaphragm plate and the corrugated sidewall groove. The spacing of diaphragm should be an integral multiple of the distance between the corrugated sidewall. (7) During operation, the diaphragm plate shall bear the gravity and inertia force of materials. In the process of feeding and unloading, the diaphragm also bear material wear, so the diaphragm plate in addition to a certain strength and rigidity, but also a certain degree of wear resistance.
