Operation of the sidewall belt conveyor is reliable, avoiding common issues such as jamming, chain slipping, or chain脱落 observed in traditional belt conveyors and chain hoists. Additionally, it eliminates bucket slippage and detachment problems often encountered in bucket elevators. Its reliability is comparable to that of general-purpose belt conveyors. The conveyor operates smoothly with low noise levels. The sidewall belt conveyor can incorporate horizontal conveying sections of any length at the head and tail, facilitating seamless integration with other equipment. As a continuous conveying device for general-purpose bulk materials, it is widely applicable in industries such as coal, grain, building materials, construction, metallurgy, chemical engineering, and light industry. It can transport various bulk materials with a specific gravity ranging from 0.5 to 2.5 t/m³ within an environmental temperature range of -25°c to +40°c. The maximum conveying angle is 45 degrees, and the largest material size it can handle is 550 mm. When conveying materials with special requirements, specialized corrugated guard edge conveyor belts should be employed.
To achieve optimal receiving and discharging conditions, particularly when the conveying angle exceeds 45 degrees, this series recommends "S" And "Sc" Layout types. These configurations feature a lower horizontal receiving section and an upper horizontal ascending receiving section for the guard edge machine.
The sidewall belt conveyor primarily consists of the head hopper, head frame, head guard cover, drive drum, head cleaner, guard edge, convex section frame, idler, middle frame, middle frame support, upper support, concave section frame, idler, lower support, discharge chute, empty section cleaner, tail frame, tensioning device, and tail frame, among other components. The corrugated guard edge conveyor belt serves dual functions of traction and bearing in the guard edge machine. It comprises a base belt, corrugated guard edges, and cross partitions. The corrugated guard edges are adhered to both sides of the base belt, while the cross partitions are attached at specific intervals between the two sides of the guard edges.
The base belt of the corrugated guard edge conveyor belt shares the same shape as a standard conveyor belt but generally exhibits greater lateral stiffness. This series employs specially manufactured conveyor belts as the base belt, with tensile materials (core layers) available in four types: Cotton canvas, nylon canvas, polyester canvas, and steel wire core. Specifications and technical parameters for the base belt include options for cotton canvas, nylon canvas, and polyester canvas.
