The corrugated sidewall belt conveyor is composed of raised edge conveyer belt , driving device, transmission equipment and redirection device.

1.Raised edge conveyer belt

The structure of the corrugated sidewall belt conveyor mainly consists of three parts which are raised edge conveyer belt, baseband and transverse diaphragm. The raised edge conveyor belt is glued to both sides of the baseband with transverse diaphragm added to the baseband.

1.1  Baseband

The base band is mainly used to sustain drag force. Nylon canvas is generally used as the tensile materials of the base belt and the tensile material of nylon canvas is strengthened with special reinforcing agent, which increase its lateral rigidity and thickness so as to prolong the service life.

1.2 Raised edge conveyer belt

The corrugated edge conveyor belt can effectively ensure that the concave and convex arc area and the rolling place can be wound smoothly. It won't slip ，get tangled up and produce stresses that exceed their limits to effectively increase the service life of the raised edge conveyer belt. There have been s-shaped, w-shaped and tooth shaped waveforms, when the s-shaped waveforms are predominant in practical applications.

1.3 Transverse diaphragm

The diaphragms are glued to the baseband at a certain distance,whereas the spacing of the diaphragms on the baseband needs to be determined according to the actual situation. The principal elements affecting the interval include inclination, conveying capacity and granularity. In order to prevent the materials from spilling during the conveying process, the spacing between the diaphragms should be reduced whereas the slightly larger interval results in better unloading and feeding.

2 Driving device

The power part of the equipment is the driving equipment which is composed of the brake, motor, reducer and coupling. The quality of the driving equipment is determined by the service efficiency of raised edge conveyer belt. At present, the core of the power part dependends on imports, which increases the cost of raised edge conveyer belt limiting the development of China economy.

3 Transmission

The transmission are composed of head frame and the driving pulley. The power source of the driving device mainly comes from the driving pulley which is covered with rubber to increase the friction coefficient between the driving pulley and the corrugated edge belt so as to reduce the abrasion of the pulley surface.
